Housing Partnership Initiatives (HIP)

WACIF Loan Contributes to Completion of HIP's 25th Home

Housing Initiatives Partnership (HIP), a nonprofit housing organization in Hyattsville, recently celebrated, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the completion of its 25th project, which was funded by WACIF.

HIP's 25th house, located at 3709 38th Avenue in Cottage City, MD, is newly constructed and has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and central air conditioning. The home will be sold to a low- or moderate income individual or family. "This house reflects HIP's capacity to create a valuable resource and to have long standing impact in our community," stated Donna F. Grigsby, executive director of WACIF. Grigsby noted that WACIF has funded nine of HIP's projects in the last four years and that WACIF has provided $2.1 million in funding for community development in Prince George's County.
